What feeds your soul?

Life brings so many different twists and turns, so much so, that when we least expect it, we can be left wondering how did I get here? What was I doing? And eventually those questions lead us into the most pertinent question…am I happy here? What a wonderful thing to acknowledge..

I’ve always been the creative type, one who loves getting their hands dirty, and finding a solution in the most resourceful way. I think that’s why I love being a hairstylist for so many different reasons. As a stylist, I’ll admit, it’s been tough at times. It can be demanding, there can be long days without any breaks, and there can be days when you feel defeated and ready to give up. But, out of all my experiences throughout the years, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve learned so much both personally and professionally. As I look back at my career, I’ve realized, it’s constantly been pushing me to do better, express myself confidently, and share my creativity with anyone willing.

I wanted to share a part of me that helps to reset my mind, and adds fuel to my fire. Realizing shortly after I had graduated from the Wella Master Colorist program, that art, color, growth, all have me diving deep into how I show up in the industry. What inspires me most? And how does that inspiration relate to the work I do as an artist?

Recently, I’ve come to find that creative expression, art, painting, color theory, and all things beauty are all nourishment for my soul. I’m living for those moments of creative zen, and welcoming all the trials and errors that come along with it.

Let the journey continue <3
